Bill Reed is an intercultural consultant, researcher, writer and management trainer, specialising in helping Western and East Asian managers work together more effectively.

After serving a management apprenticeship in Plessey, the electronics company, Bill joined an international training company specialising in management communication across cultures. In the early 80's, his interest in Asia having been sparked during his experiences as a trainer at INSEAD, he became the company’s salesman in Asia.

In 1984 and 1985, he set up the company's Asian subsidiary based in Tokyo. On his return to Europe, he pioneered a highly successful entry into the cross-cultural training market, designing and developing specific and generic courses focused on doing business in Asia.

During this time, he was a regular visitor to the region selling to and training managers from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Sri Lanka as well as the big three: Japan, Korea and China. In the 90's, Bill became a Partner and took on a number of senior management responsibilities including periods as General Manager of the Italian subsidiary and seven years as Sales and Marketing Director of the company worldwide.

From 1997 until 2001, he was President of the Japanese subsidiary. In 2001, Bill resigned to found East Asia Business to focus on his main area of interest.

Arun is an international lawyer, interculturalist and former partner of KPMG, where he headed the India Business Group for KPMGEurope.

Since 1989 he has advised a number of companies and organisations on Cross-Cultural awareness, and management skills, and since 1998 in relation to outsourcing projects.

He is a Visiting Fellow to Leeds University Business School on cross-cultural dynamics, international trade and investment and corporate governance, and a non-executive director of their Advisory Board. He is currently an Associate of the UK’s School of Government and a Senior Associate on Management Development at Oxford University

He is also a non-executive director of the UK Government’s Trade and Investment Office and a board member of their India Advisory Panel

Arun was appointed an OBE in 1999 for services to exports and international investment and diversity and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

He has completed the Post Graduate Studies in Intercultural Management at the University of Cambridge and teaches intercultural negotiations skills there.
