Takashi Suzuki graduated from Hokkaido University, Japan in 1974 with a Bachelors degree in Law. He joined Sumitomo Bank and served in the International Department spending several years in the London office. In a radical departure from traditional Japanese norms, he then left the bank to co-manage a British management training organization.
From there, he moved back into banking as vice president with Lazard Frere and subsequently as Managing Director of Japan Asia Investment Co.Ltd.. Takashi joined Mees Pierson, the Dutch investment bank, in 1998 as the MD for Hong Kong. He left the bank, moved back to Tokyo and is currently the Managing Director of T Investment & Co, his own venture capital company
He now acts as a consultant on Japanese business culture.
