Honami Matsutani moved from his native Japan to the UK in 1978 and has spent most of his career in the financial technology sector. He has held a series of senior positions with well-known financial application vendors in the UK. In the late 1990s he co-owned a specialist software house, providing the investment banking communities in Europe and Asia with risk-based capital reporting systems.
In 2000 he sold the business and joined the European corporate development team of ‘Fortune 500’ where he was responsible for identifying acquisition and joint-venture opportunities and managing changes associated with the consolidation process outside North America.
Honami is now focussing more on people development – he has designed and facilitated a number of performance enhancing training programmes in Europe and Japan.
Honami is bi-lingual in English and Japanese and attained a BSc in Mathematics and Economics from The Open University and an MBA from Henley Management College
